The detail with which Herculaneum has been preserved is remarkable considering the violence of the 500 C° volcanic flows which ravaged the city.

Groups of 6-8 people share an 8-seat van with an English-speaking driver and are met by a guide at Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples;
Groups of 9-19 share a 19-seat minibus and are accompanied by an English speaking guide for the entire excursion.

Outside the main terminal exit of the Naples cruise terminal building.
There your driver or guide will be waiting for you, holding a sign reading: "SharedTrips.com".
You will be returned to the port at the end of the excursion.
